Mark said I had some additional thoughts about blogging but he has vetoed my sending them. (He's looking over my shoulder now as I looked over his.) They have to do with feeling the pressure to create something that is palatable and entertaining, something packaged. Maybe we're just too uptight about it. In any event I think all of us have delayed writing because we felt we didn't have the exact right story to tell.
So rather than having a commitment to post entries at regular intervals I think we'll just do it when we feel like it. Ah, that was liberating.

Hi Mark and Family,
ReplyDeleteJust want to tell you that today I read your blog and was very touched by the courage you all are exhibiting in your lives. I love the pictures – what a lovely family you are. Mark you look like you could be my brother with hair enough to make me envious believe it or not. What a great adventure you have begun! I am sure it is full of awesome days and not so awesome ones but what matters in my eyes is that you put yourself out there, you are living your life by your rules and that is the dangerous part in my opinion – you are stepping outside the norm of what most families feel is comfortable and safe. I look forward to reading/hearing more of your adventures and how it will temper the bond among yourselves as a family and between yourselves and the humanity around you. I just love becoming more aware of the depth and breadth that can involve the experience of living. It is so important to be fully engaged in living, something that I must keep reminding myself of as my focus narrows onto the mundane tasks I spend so much of my energy on every day. So thanks for sharing your adventure and be well. Your Friend, Ben
Well, you do have very nicely structured, informative and interesting blog entries.
ReplyDeleteI have found, in my own blogging, that it is better to just get something out there, even if I think it is kind of lame. And then the good entries come along amongst the others. But I definitely don't pressure myself to write once a week or anything.
Anyway, that's me. I love your blog and hearing about/seeing your new adventure, so please keep those entries coming! (but no pressure.:) )
I agree - just blog away and let the chips fall where they may. We're not expecting life-changing insights (at least not on a regular basis).
ReplyDeleteHello Everyone,
ReplyDeleteLoving your blog over here in England. Seeing the photo of you sitting in a field as the rain beats against my windows warms my heart.
Someday you'll have to come to England,Liam; birds and birding are everywhere.
Bueno, tengo que dormir ahorita. Favor de escribir mas pero solamente cuando quieren, por su puesto!
Abrazos,
Sarah (Durling)
